Adam M. Budnick

Adam M. Budnick

Vice President of Sales & Engineering

Adam Budnick provides continuing support in product development and engineering, Adam is primarily responsible for growing sales and direct-fired product applications in specific OEM markets. These include make-up air systems for the food service industry and spray and bake systems for paint finishing operations. Adam also has selected product sales responsibilities, such as carwash air process dryers, construction heaters, door heaters, fan boxes, and burner boxes.

Adam has been with AbsolutAire since its inception in 1992, actually initiating product design and assembly drawings as his father, Jack W. Budnick, and Bob Jauch were in the process of incorporating the business and finalizing start-up plans. He assumed his prior role as a Sales and Engineering market development specialist in 2005.

A 1990 graduate of West Catholic High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Adam has attended Aquinas College, Grand Rapids Community College, and Western Michigan University for selected, job-related studies. During his career, he has also participated in various industry or systems-specific training activities.


Frank P. Gray

Sales Manager

Frank joined AbsolutAire in 2011 as a Sales Engineer and was promoted to Sales Manager in 2022. His primary responsibilities include producing accurate and comprehensive equipment recommendations, selections, and quotations to sales representatives, contractors, and end users. Frank works closely with AbsolutAire sales reps throughout the job bidding process as well as pre/post sale opportunities, ensuring that they have the sales support they need to secure orders and be successful. He gets involved with more complex applications such as energy recovery units and humidity control units, and he is also responsible for developing and maintaining AbsolutAire’s new selection and pricing software.

Frank joined AbsolutAire in 2011 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. While there, Frank worked as a Designer and Fabricator in the Purdue University Central Machine Shop, and as a Product Processor for ALcast Company. He also was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, and he served as the Facility Coordinator on the fraternity’s housing board. He is an active member of the Kappa Sigma Alumni Association.

Elgin L. Clark II

Sales Engineer, Western Michigan & Northern Indiana

Elgin Clark is a Sales Engineer at AbsolutAire. In this role, he is responsible for developing and growing sales for the company’s commercial and industrial direct-fired equipment in its Western Michigan and Northern Indiana market regions. Among his key activities, Elgin is focused on new account development, assisting engineering firms with facility design and mechanical systems’ specifications, interfacing with mechanical and sheet metal contractors on project pricing and scheduling, and providing factory technical support on selected projects.

Elgin began his AbsolutAire career in 2006, following more than 15 years of mechanical systems’ marketing and sales experience in Western Michigan. He has held positions as a Sales Engineer and Sales Manager for V & L Sales, a former provider of food-service equipment and commercial make-up air and heating and ventilating systems. Elgin was also a Sales Engineer for Swaney Sales in Grand Rapids, Michigan, specializing in the design and layout of commercial and industrial heating and ventilating systems for this major Western Michigan HVAC sales firm.

In 1990, Elgin earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His coursework included an Industrial Marketing major and a Manufacturing Technology minor. He has been an associate member of ASHRAE since 1997.

Casey A. Potts

Sales Engineer

Casey Potts is the Manager of the Engineering group at AbsolutAire. In this role, Casey oversees the mechanical engineering functions at the company. He and his staff are primarily responsible for custom systems and unit design, project management, and review/oversight of customer orders released for production.

Casey joined AbsolutAire in 2012, taking a mechanical design position in the company’s engineering group. He had previously been employed at Eliason Corporation, a manufacturer of traffic doors, located in Portage, Michigan. In 2015, Casey assumed his current supervisory role.

Casey has attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College (KVCC), earning an Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Design (CAD) in 2007.

David Parks

Key Accounts Sales Manager

David works in the Sales Department at AbsolutAire. In his position, he is responsible for quoting equipment to reps and end users, providing product training to customers, and other sales-related functions.

Beginning his HVAC career in 1981 with Rapid Engineering, David worked in the electrical department, later supervising all electrical department staff. He then moved to the service department, followed by a shift to the sales department as a Product Specialist. He was promoted to Regional Sales Manager, and eventually became the Director of Sales for the company. David worked for Rapid Engineering for 32 years total. He has also worked for two large corporations, Alcoa and Pittsburgh Glass Works, before coming to AbsolutAire.

David holds a Master Electrician License, and is also a licensed contractor in the State of Michigan.  He attended Grand Rapids Community College for business and technical classes, attended Michigan State University, and took dozens of Electrical and HVAC training seminars.

David enjoys spending time with his family at his lakeside home.  He enjoys working out with friends, and holds a 3rd degree black belt

Lance Walters

Sales Engineer

Lance works in the Sales Department at AbsolutAire.  His role is to continue to build strong relationships with, and support the sales representatives.   He does this by supplying quotations, product knowledge and information.  This includes but is not limited to equipment application and design suggestions as well as support throughout the entire sales process.

Lance joined AbsolutAire in 2023 with many years’ experience in the HVAC industry.  Lance grew up in a family HVAC business.  He started working there throughout his high school and college years as well as several years beyond college.  He has worked at the contractor, wholesale distributor and manufacturer levels of the industry. Lance worked approximately 12 years in varying sales roles for Lennox Industries before becoming a Regional Sales Manager for Rapid Engineering. 

Lance graduated from Michigan State University and loves his Spartans.  He enjoys spending time with friends and family, helping others, golfing, fishing and hunting.

Michelle L. Plummer

Sales Administrator

Michelle Plummer is the Sales Administrator at AbsolutAire. Her primary responsibilities include sales order entry, project quotation management, engineering administration, and responding to AbsolutAire sales rep and customer inquiries.

Michelle joined AbsolutAire in April 2018.  Prior to joining AbsolutAire, Michelle held a variety of customer service and childcare positions.  Michelle graduated from Western Michigan University in 2015, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology: Behavioral Science with a minor in Sociology.
